Marianne Williamson is one of the world’s foremost spiritual teachers and an internationally acclaimed lecturer, activist and author. Among her many inspiring titles are A Return to Love, A Year of Miracles and Tears to Triumph. She has appeared on Oprah, Good Morning America and Bill Maher, and is the founder of the Los Angeles-based Project Angel Food and co-founder of the Peace Alliance.
Back in May of 2015, I had the incredible honour to meet with Marianne at an event in Montreal.
The theme of the evening was love and light, and how to turn love into a collective force for good. She spoke on the power of love to not only transform your individual life, but to transform the planet.
During the event, Marianne spoke of two very simple, yet powerful practices: to be NICE and KIND to others, and to apply the principles of niceness and kindness in all areas of one’s life.
So simple, yet so transformative for everyone involved.
These concepts of love and light, nice and kind struck a deep chord with me. One of the central themes of my book, Co-Parenting in Harmony: Creating a Ripple Effect, is how simple acts of kindness can transform the future of your entire family. Co-parenting in Harmony is about developing a collective force of love and light, and of committing to being nice and being kind in order to focus on the good.
Love and light, nice and kind… not only can they transform an individual’s life, they can transform a family dynamic and, thereby, spark a ripple effect on the planet collectively.
Focus on just being nice and kind. Shower people with love and light. Be the start of a powerful and positive transformation for yourself, your family dynamic and the planet.
